I got laid off.
I'm so bummed I don't have my old job.
I spent all day today out running around back and forth through downtown looking for a new job. The only places that aren't on like some sort of hiring freeze are restaurants. Unfortunately I have no experience in that AT ALL. When I was 14 I worked at a pizza place for a month but quit once they told be I had to work on Christmas. Another time(only a day) I worked at some Italian jig with my step sister, and never got paid for it. So I pretty much ruled restaurants/food business out.
Anyway, I must have went to at least like 15 different restaurants throughout the city today. Luckily I meet this really nice European black guy who was a chef at some fancy shmansy restaurant that has worked at all the top restaurants in town and he gave me the low down on all the most happenin places .. he even let me use him as a reference!!andddd I got to eat a fine dine meal! After that I went over to this restaurant the guy recommended too me. I met with the owner. I felt kinda awkward at first but i just told him the chef from the restaurant I was at earlier had sent me. That fourtuantly ease the awarkward moment and he really seemed to respect me... he told me that they might be able to fit me in!! I was so relieved. The chef of that restaurant owns like 4 places all over philly and is an Iron chef!! weeeewhoooo I hope I get this job!!!
